Mold is the mother of industry, and it is precisely because of the existence of molds that products can be replicated and produced in large quantities. Injection molds have become an increasingly widely used part of the mold field. Injection mold factories need various types of precision equipment in the process of producing injection molds in order to finally manufacture and produce a set of injection molds. So, what equipment do general injection mold factories have?

Milling machine: a machine tool that uses milling cutters to machine various surfaces on workpieces; Milling machines can perform milling, drilling, and boring on workpieces.

Drilling machine: a machine tool that uses a drill bit to machine holes on a workpiece. The drilling machine has a simple structure and relatively low machining accuracy. It can drill through holes, blind holes, replace special tools, and perform processes such as expanding, countersunking, reaming, or tapping.

Lathe: A machine tool used to turn rotating workpieces. On the lathe, corresponding machining can also be carried out using drill bits, reaming drills, reamers, taps, dies, and rolling tools.

Large water mill: Use a grinding wheel to rotate and grind the workpiece to achieve the required flatness. According to the shape of the worktable, it can be divided into two types: rectangular worktable and circular worktable. The main parameters of rectangular worktable surface grinder are worktable width and length, and the main parameters of circular worktable surface grinder are worktable diameter. According to the different types of shafts, they can be divided into horizontal and vertical grinding machines. Due to the generation of a large amount of heat during the work process, a large amount of coolant (usually water, sometimes oil) is required, hence the nickname of the large water grinder.

CNC machining center: A CNC machining center is a type of CNC machine tool controlled by a CNC system, which can process very complex and difficult workpieces that cannot be compared to ordinary machine tools. Moreover, the machining effect of the workpiece is very good and the efficiency is very high. It can complete all operations after one clamping of the workpiece, because the CNC machining center comes with a tool magazine that can automatically change the tool.

Spark machine: EDM (short for EDM, full name Electrical Discharge Machining) is a mechanical machining equipment mainly used for electrical discharge machining. Widely used in the manufacturing of various metal molds and mechanical equipment. It is a special machining method that uses the electric erosion effect generated by the pulse discharge between the two poles immersed in the working fluid to corrode conductive materials, also known as discharge machining or electric erosion machining.

Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (WEDM), belonging to the field of electrical machining, was developed by the Lazarenko couple of the former Soviet Union. They studied the phenomenon and causes of corrosion damage to switch contacts caused by spark discharge and found that the instantaneous high temperature of electric discharge can cause local metal to melt, oxidize, and be corroded, thus pioneering and inventing the method of electrical discharge machining. The wire cutting machine was also invented in the former Soviet Union in 1960, and China was the first country to use it for industrial production.
